Mohamed Soltan is a business development and investment advisor with interests in range of industries, including fintech, health and lifestyle, e-commerce, energy, AI, and consumer packaged goods. He also works with promising ventures focused on blockchain, smart contracts, and decentralized finance.
 
Previously, Soltan was a senior advisor for an investment group comprising global funds and family offices with a combined $1-1.5 billion in assets under management. His experience in business development includes directing $200 million in new business channels, partnerships, and other growth opportunities for companies in the energy sector.
 
Mohamed Soltan is also known as the founder of The Freedom Initiative, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that advocates on behalf of political prisoners throughout the world, with a domain expertise in the MENA region.
 
Soltan earned his master's degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and a bachelor of science in economics from The Ohio State University (OSU). He was named a Global Courage Fellow by the NGO Coeuraj USA. In his spare time, Soltan enjoys playing basketball and cheering on the OSU Buckeyes.
